Chef Linda here at Hart House has shared her recipe! They are delicious!
1 cup butter
1 1/4 cups light or dark brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Method
Sift together flour b.p., soda.
In a mixer or hand held cream butter and sugars together, add eggs 1 at a time, mix more, add vanilla.
Add flour slowly until mixed.
Put in fridge for 30 minutes.
Roll out dough and cut into heart shapes or whatever you choose.
Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 10 minutes.
