(re-post)
Doing research on the treasures I unearth on my garage sale archeological digs is an exciting aspect of the whole adventure. Good ol' Google!
Jefferson Golden Hour is on the bottom so I knew what to look for and got a wealth of information about history and how it works (the glass revolves!) and where to look for the date it was made (mid-century modern is appealing to me more and more).
The transparency of it is a delight as well as the 'no hands' hands which seem to float.
I don't know if it works and next is to google and find out how to set it. Some sites suggest parts are still available.
One thing I discovered about its provenance is that it was owned by a lovely lady who I got to know over the years by chatting with her at many garage sales and which I now acquired at a garage sale of her own.
