(re-post)
Objects that are 'washed up' on the streets overnight by the 'tide' of humanity interest me and are one of the delights of my early morning walk.
It is incredible what one finds! I am often astonished and moved to wonder how and why and by whom such items were 'flotsam'ed and jetsam'ed'.
These small pieces got turned into a bracelet.
Larger ones may come back to the garden.
Most get left where they are after being noticed and noted and often admired.
Once I called the police who came and removed a very large piece of some sort (the police did not know what it was either) of mechanical equipment that had been left on the sidewalk at a corner by a crosswalk.
