(re-post)
I can't remember when this sweater was put on the tree outside Koffi cafe at Haultain and Belmont streets in Victoria BC where knitting happens (all are welcome) Wednesday evenings and Monday afternoons. But it was looking a bit woebegone.
So the search began for another hand knit sweater that needed a good home.
This one showed up in a local thrift store and looked like a suitable replacement - bright and cheery but heavy enough for chilly weather.
It honours the art of fibre, tells people that knitting goes on here (and crocheting and spinning and patchwork etc.) and is a display of yarn blooming.
