It's not something you hear often, here, in Victoria BC - but today I heard a number of people say "Boy, is it ever hot." It was likely about 24 degree Celcius. In the sun. So I had this cool and simple dessert. Local strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. In coconut milk (canned, organic, with nothing added but organic guar gum) with a topping of two large scoops of plain yogurt (again, nothing added.) And a few chunks of cocoa mass (chocolate one step along from being a cocoa bean). The flavours of the fruit remained distinct on the tongue without the cloying effects of sugar; the tang of the yogurt enhanced the natural sweetness of the fruit; the coconut milk offered a creamy richness; the chocolate - well, its intensity complimented and was complemented by the other ingredients.
