I knew they were !scissors!, but .....

... I thought they were for kids to cut paper into strips or a manual way of shredding things like old cheques or an even older diary.

While walking by a kitchen store today I stopped in astonishment to see such a pair in the window in a package with the information that they were for snipping herbs. 

What was the first thing that came into your mind?  Mine too.  How the heck does one clean them;  a knife is so much simpler.
