You really need two potholders to lift hot things out of oven. (Note to self: do not throw out a pair of anything until both units of the pair have been replaced!)
First potholder got made ages ago. Second more recently. The second one (right) is also made from the felted sleeve of a wool sweater (thift store rescue), two layers, with needle felting of fleece and some extreme embroidery. I wanted to retain the curly aspects of the fleece so felted it lightly. And the little bits of wood are twigs from the Australian bushmint plant which is highly fragrant, wood as well as leaves.
Baking is on the list of things planned for tomorrow. I am prepared......
