The trees are losing their leaves and the leaves are falling in a perfect pattern under the trees, outlining the shape of the branches above, falling on an area of ground that houses the roots. Left to lay and decompose, the leaves return nutrients to the earth which nurture the roots and fertilize the tree. Perfect cycle.
